Covenant Health

The City of Edmonton is Canada’s fifth largest city and Alberta’s capital, with just over one million residents. With up to 17 hours of sunshine in the summertime, Edmonton is also one of the sunniest cities in the country.

Thanks to its location on the North Saskatchewan River, Edmonton is home to North America’s longest stretch of connected urban trails, which span over 97 kilometers in total. This scenic trail network is one of Edmonton’s defining features and is ideal for walking, running, cycling and sightseeing. Edmonton also offers many recreational amenities, including galleries, theatres and live music venues and West Edmonton Mall. The city also hosts several large festivals each year, including the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, and is aptly nicknamed The Festival City.
