During his career with the Global Television Network, he held various local and national positions, including station manager for Edmonton and vice-president of the Prairie region. He retired in August 2017.

Tim’s community involvement has been extensive. He has worked with many organizations as a speaker, fundraiser, board member and media adviser. These organizations include the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, Catholic Social Services, the Archdiocese of Edmonton professional ethics and abuse prevention Committee, the Friars Board, the Western Catholic Reporter, LaSalle Residence, Lurana Shelter, St. Joseph’s College, Star of the North Retreat Centre and the ALS Society of Alberta.

In 2012, Tim was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for service, excellence and community involvement. We acknowledge that what we refer to as Alberta is the traditional ancestral territory of a diversity of Indigenous peoples and home to Treaty 6, 7 and 8. We recognize and give thanks to the many First Nations, Métis and Inuit who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations, all who continue to grace these lands and all future generations. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude.
