Karl Germann
Board member

Karl Germann is a graduate of the University of Regina, where he earned both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in education, and the University of Saskatchewan, where he completed a bachelor of arts. He began his career as a high school teacher, then moved to administration, becoming an assistant superintendent and superintendent of schools in Saskatchewan and Alberta over a 30-year period. During this time, he worked and taught in the faculty of education at the University of Regina for several years.
Karl was elected president of the College of Alberta School Superintendents as well as of the Council of Catholic School Superintendents, giving him exposure to a wide variety of leadership styles and personalities who collectively assisted him in his growth as an educator and leader.
Karl is active with different community agencies, including the local Grouard-McLennan Covenant Health Board, Northwestern Polytechnic Alumni Foundation, Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools Education Foundation, Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club and other organizations.
