Metis Youth Summer Employment Program

Covenant Health is a proud partner with the Rupertsland Institute to offer summer employment in health care to Indigenous youth. To learn more, visit the Rupertsland Institute website.

Student placements

A student placement is any unpaid practice education experience (also called placement, practicum, clinical, fieldwork, internship, experiential learning, etc.) that is a requirement of an educational program.

Student placements at Covenant Health sites are processed through each post-secondary school’s placement coordinator. Most schools are aware of this process as the tracking system used is Canada-wide.

Your school’s placement coordinator will be able to tell you if there is a Student Placement Agreement in place with Covenant Health, and advise you on what your next steps are.

Take Our Kids to Work Day

Covenant Health is proud to be a registered employer in the Learning Partnership’s National Take Our Kids to Work program. This program provides valuable opportunities for Grade 9 students to job shadow their parents or a parent-host for the day.

Further information about the Take Our Kids to Work program can be found on The Students Commission of Canada website.
