Long-term care & complex long-term care 

Long-term care (LTC) is provided to individuals with health needs requiring 24-hour registered nurse (RN) assistance.  Complex long-term care is provided to individuals with complex or progressive illnesses or severe disabilities who need 24-hour RN assistance.

St. Michael’s Health Centre has 52 long-term care beds (including 20 secure dementia beds) and 4 complex long-term care beds.

Admissions

To be admitted to St. Michael’s Health Centre, please contact the Alberta Health Services Access Centre at 403.388.6380. Accommodation fees are set by the Government of Alberta.

Please note that individuals can choose where they are placed, but wait times may apply.
