Reporting to the Manager - Covenant Health Research Centre (CHRC), this corporate position is responsible to support researchers as they seek to engage our systems and sites, as well as coordinate essential risk-management functions integral to the safe conduct of research at Covenant Health (COV). Work involves assisting researchers, internal constituents, and/or external clients through wayfinding and advising - navigate legislation, best-practice and policy; and by coordinating, orienting to and overseeing process requirements in order to conduct their research activities at COV. Essentially: coordinate research project operational/administrative reviews as well as internal grant reviews; assess, distill and establish project requirements and impacts, prioritize and coordinate processes for each project and including identification of any additional supports or opportunities and coordinate those through responsible teams; and in similar process, coordinate and provide oversight for all internal grant project awards. Work also involves coordinating various knowledge translation/dissemination activities, tools and events to ensure that these are implemented effectively – run smoothly and within budget, and function according to developed objectives.

The incumbent for this position will apply their knowledge and strengths in customer service, data integrity, privacy and confidentiality, general research structures, and Alberta-centric research systems; as well as apply well-developed written and verbal communication, project coordination, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making abilities to navigate internal and external research and organizational milieu. Must be able to travel between various sites/locations; and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
