Research Day 2015 Event Presentations focussed on Spirituality

The 10th annual Covenant Health Research Day event entitled "Reclaiming a place for the Spirit: exploring evidence based religion and spirituality research in healthcare" was held on February 5th at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital auditorium. The plenary speaker, Dr. Kenneth I Pargament, shared his research with an audience of 116 participants as well as those attending via Telehealth. Throughout the day, speakers – both local and from outside the province, delivered interesting presentations culminating in a discussion panel at the end of the day.

Expanded Access to Netcare for Research

The Alberta Netcare Portal is a viewer of health information provided from many source systems across the province. Revisions to rules allowing access for research personnel are expected to be tabled in the current session of the Alberta Legislature, which will provide an opportunity for the community of investigators and research administrators to review and comment on how well the changes respond to our evolving research environment.
