It Starts With Me website for study participants

Are you looking for a trustworthy site on clinical trials to refer to people interested in learning more or who you think should learn more? A new website (www.itstartswithme.ca) about clinical trials was developed by patients and caregivers who have participated in a clinical trial or have had a loved one participate in a clinical trial and by people who work in clinical trials and research. The website is an overview of clinical trials, includes things to think about or ask before deciding to participate, participant rights, and has a glossary of terms. Please feel free to circulate this website and refer it to anyone you feel would benefit from it. The site was created by the Network of Networks (N2) to which our organization belongs and which represents member organizations that conduct clinical research and trials in Canada. The site is informative and hopes to create more conversation about clinical research and trials, and ultimately provide people with more information to make informed decisions about participating in a clinical trial.
