Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Transform Coronary Artery Disease in Patient CareDr. Joon Lee, Principal Investigator
|
Funded by a CIHR Project Grant and an Alberta Innovates AICE-Concepts Grant totaling over $1.2M, this project aims to develop an artificial intelligence-based decision support tool for patients with coronary artery disease, using the APPROACH Registry and administrative health data. This tool is designed to inform coronary revascularization decision-making and facilitate the discussion between the heart team and patient/family in the decision-making process. This interdisciplinary project has a major focus on real-world implementation and is overseen by an Advisory Committee of patients, clinicians, health system administrators, and participants from digital health industry. We have also embarked on the commercialization of the AI technology developed in this project. |
