HSAA paramedical professional and technical
If your employee group is part of HSAA and you are a paramedical professional or technical employee, you are covered under the terms and conditions of the HSAA collective agreement for paramedical professional and technical employees. Please make sure you are familiar with this agreement, particularly the local conditions specific to your site. You must also follow all Covenant Health policies and procedures.
If you are eligible, you must enroll in benefit offerings within the first 31 days of initial eligibility as per your employee grouping. We will notify you through your Covenant Health email when you are able to elect benefits.
See Article 9: Probationary Period (Article 44 or Local Conditions for EMS) in your collective agreement.
If you transfer to a new position within the bargaining unit, see Article 19: Promotions, Transfers and Vacancies for information about trial periods.
Temporary license/registration/practice permits
If you currently have a temporary license/registration/practice permit, you will not be eligible for increments. Once you receive your full license/registration/practice permit, you will need to submit a completed license and practice permit cover form with a copy of your new license/registration/practice permit and, where applicable, a copy of the results of your exam.
You must email requests to HRBusinessSupport@covenanthealth.ca. We will create a case for your request in the HR Contact Centre ServiceHub. Once processed, you will move to a pay grade eligible for increments.
