Network access and email
Once you have been hired in e-People, your network username and temporary password for accessing Covenant Health systems will be sent to your manager. You will need your network credentials to access your Covenant Health email, CompassionNet (our intranet), e-People (employee self service) and CLiC (learning platform).
If you currently or previously worked for Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories, contact IT to confirm the status of your credentials and that your Covenant Health email will be added to your account. If you work for more than one employer, you can also set your Covenant Health email as your primary email.
Remote email access
To protect and secure your work information, we use multifactor authentication to help you access your Covenant Health email remotely through Microsoft Outlook Web Access.
When you log into your email using a personal device, you will enter your username and password and use a second method of authentication as well.
Be aware of fraud
Covenant Health will never ask for your login, password or personal information. If you receive an email requesting this information, it is a scam. Forward the email to securityincident@ahs.ca.
e-People
Our e-People platform is our human resource and payroll system. The Employee Self Service section allows you to view and update your personal, payroll and benefits information.

Accessing e-People
Once you start your position, you can log into e-People using your network credentials (the same username and password you use to log into the network).
You must be at a Covenant Health site connected to the Covenant Health network the first time you log into e-People. You will need to enter the last three digits of your social insurance number and the month and day of your birth.
Select your benefits
You must select your benefits through e-People within the first 31 days of becoming benefit eligible.
HR Contact Centre
All Covenant Health employees may access the HR Contact Centre ServiceHub for HR, benefits, pension and payroll-related inquiries. You can create, track and update information on cases, search a knowledge base of frequently asked questions or live chat with a virtual representative.
You may view open and closed cases by logging into the HR Contact Centre ServiceHub and selecting My Items in the navigation menu.
