National Health Ethics Week, April 3-9, 2017

The Covenant Health Ethics Centre is proud to be hosting three events as part of National Health Ethics Week 2017. (See details below). National Health Ethics Week is a time set aside for health and educational institutions, ethics committees, health care professionals, community organizations, businesses and members of the general public, to host and take part in educational events that explore health ethics issues.

April 4 - Ethics at the Movies

5:00 - 7:00 PM | Auditorium (Room 0142), Grey Nuns Community Hospital
1100 Youville Drive West, Edmonton

Join us at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital Auditorium from 5-7 PM for a free public screening of the 2002 film "Dirty Pretty Things", followed by a panel discussion of challenges for health care workers in response to human trafficking. Click here to view the event poster. 


April 5 - Camrose Ethics Committee Meet & Greet

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM | Multipurpose Room, St. Mary's Hospital

Join us in the Multipurpose Room at St. Mary’s Hospital for some light snacks and a hot drink, and meet your local ethics committee. Committee members will be joined by clinical ethicist Eleanor Stewart, and will be happy to answer any questions you might have about ethics, the work of the committee, or the services provided by the Covenant Health Ethics Centre.


April 6 - "Human Trafficking and the Health Care Response" 

3:00 - 4:00 PM | Auditorium (Room IN-110), Misericordia Community Hospital
