Karl Germann

Board Member

Karl Germann graduated from the Universities of Regina (M. Ed, B. Ed) and Saskatchewan (B.A). Karl began his career as a high school teacher, then moved to administration becoming an Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent of Schools in Saskatchewan and Alberta over a 30 year period. During this time he worked and taught in the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina for several years while he completed his Masters in Educational Leadership & Curriculum.

Karl was elected as the President of the College of Alberta School Superintendents (CASS) and the President of the Council of Catholic School Superintendents (CCSSA), providing him with exposure to a wide variety of leadership styles and personalities who collectively assisted Karl in his growth as an educator and leader.

In the community Karl is active with different agencies including the local Grouard-McLennan Covenant Health Board, Northwestern Polytechnic's Foundation, Grande Prairie Catholic Schools' Education Foundation, Knights of Columbus, Rotary and other organizations.
Karl looks forward to being a part of the Covenant Health family and the opportunity to learn, grow and provide insight.
