Covenant Health opens first newborn safe havens in Alberta
May 6, 2013 – Today Covenant Health officially opened and blessed two newborn safe havens in Edmonton to provide an option for safe abandonment of newborns. The Angel Cradles, which are the first in Alberta, are located by the Grey Nuns Community Hospital and Misericordia Community Hospital Emergency Departments.
Covenant Health’s President and CEO, Patrick Dumelie, honoured with a midcareer award
Patrick Dumelie, President and CEO of Covenant Health, has been recognized for his significant contribution to Catholic health care in Canada, receiving the national Midcareer Leadership Award from the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada. He was presented with the award at the Alliance’s annual conference.
