Undergraduate Nursing Employees (UNE)

Eligibility Requirements:

Completion of all requirements of the 3rd year of Collaborative Nursing Degree Program of a recognized post secondary institution
Heart & Stroke Foundation BLS (Level C) Health Care Provider
Continued employment requires that the UNE remain enrolled as a registered student in an approved nursing education program

*Please Note: Currently, nursing students in a Diploma program, After-Degree program, or LPN Bridging to RN program are not eligible for UNE employment.

Summer Temporary Employment Program (STEP)

The STEP program is offered in conjunction with Alberta Human Resources and Employment (AHRE), in an effort to help Albertans who would benefit from temporary employment during the spring and summer months—typically post-secondary students and high school students.

Careers: The Next Generation (CTNG)

This six week internship program offers high school students the opportunity to gain insight and understanding into the various health careers available through partnerships between healthcare providers and secondary educational institutions. For more details, visit Careers: The Next Generation.
